about

Ocean Editorial is run by me, Alistair Fraser. During more than 20 years as a journalist and commercial writer, I have worked on national papers, including the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, the Guardian and the Observer.

I've also worked on glossy magazines such as the Radio Times, Ideal Home and Woman's Own.

For a while I lived near Toulouse, where I was employed as a senior editor working on behalf of the Irish Independent and other papers in that group.

And after returning to the UK, I set up and ran Nash, the first online arts and entertainment magazine for Tunbridge Wells.

Besides my commercial work for Ocean Editorial, I write freelance features for a number of papers, magazines and online publications.

I also blog and tweet regularly. My Ocean Editorial blog takes a generally lighthearted look at bad writing and anything else connected with this job that takes my fancy.

And under the pen name Bill Fathers I write and tweet about the stresses and strains of being a parent. As the father of five children, I feel well qualified to write a blog called Shouty Dad.
