People spend about 28 seconds on a new website. They're impatient and want to know what's so special about you.
They're holding a mouse that's itching to click you into online oblivion.
So how do you make them stay? Good writing, that's how. Snazzy designs will draw them in. But pretty pictures won't keep them there.
Your words are like a piece of cheese. They're the only things that'll keep that mouse quiet.
Writing for the web isn't like writing a brochure or other sales literature. You need to make your point in the first few words. Spell out the benefits. Convince people to act quickly. Otherwise they'll be off.
At Ocean Editorial we write for websites every day and think we've got it cracked. If you want us to help you raise your online profile, call 01892 852398 or email info@oceaneditorial.co.uk.
